STORNOWAY, Dingwall and Highland Marts Ltd., (August, 27th) sold 2,648 sheep.
Store lambs (2,648) averaged £18.89 and sold to £36.50 gross for Cheviot crosses from No. 27 Melbost, Stornoway.
"Quality lambs were in short supply and sold well with an increase of £2.88 on the year. Small, long keeping cross lambs were difficult to sell, averaging £3.21 back on the year."
