Dingwall, Dingwall and Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 10th) sold 138 Blackface rams at their PK Nutrition sponsored show and sale.
The judge, Mr J. MacLennan, Glenfernate, Blairgowrie, awarded the champion to a shearling ram from Messrs C. & I. MacIntyre, Lower Nuide Farm Cottage, realising £900 to Mr D. Buchanan, Achavrole Farm, Halkirk. The reserve champion, a ram lamb from Messrs John Macpherson & Sons, Lairgandour, Daviot, realising £1,500, to Messrs W. G. Macpherson, Blackford.
91 shearlings averaged £223.74 and sold to £900 gross for the champion from Messrs C & I MacIntyre, Lower Nuide Farm Cottage.
22 aged rams averaged £158.18 and sold to £350 gross for a two shear from Drumgask, Laggan.
18 tup lambs averaged £167.50 and sold to £1500 gross for the reserve champion from Lairgandour, Daviot.
