DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 8th) sold 676 store cattle and 32 OTM cattle at their show and sale of weaned calves and yearlings with Aberdeen Angus section.
The judge, Mr Tom Henderson, Udale, Poyntzfield, awarded the champion to a 400kg Limousin bullock from Messrs W. F. Cruickshank & Son, Clury Farm, Dulnain Bridge, realising £790 to the judge. The reserve champion, from The Firm of J. Munro & Son, Invercharron, Ardgay, was a 445kg Limousin heifers realising £810, also to the judge.

Aberdeen Angus and Aberdeen Angus cross bullocks (128) averaged 154.9p and sold to 181.8p per kg and £900 gross for a 495kg beast from Gaskbeg, Laggan.
Aberdeen Angus and Aberdeen Angus cross heifers (84) averaged 138.5p and sold to 152.5p per kg for a 295kg cross from Auchnafearn, Grantown on Spey and £710 gross for a 497kg pure from Inkstack House, Barrock, Thurso.
Continental bullocks (242) averaged 161.5p and sold to 197.5p per kg for the champion, a 400kg Limousin from Clury Farm, and £900 gross for a 495kg Aberdeen Angus cross from Gaskbeg, Laggan.
Continental heifers (189) averaged 150.9p and sold to 215.4p per kg for a 390kg Limousin from Kirksheaf, Tain, and £875 gross for a 590kg Limousin from Sunnylea, Balblair.
Young bulls (3) averaged 146.7p and sold to 165.9p per kg for a 205kg Limousin from Fairmuir, Muir of Ord, and £470 gross for a 365kg Shorthorn cross from Redbank, Heights of Fodderty.
OTM beef cows (26) averaged 100.8p and sold to 122.1p per kg and £1105 gross for a 905kg Limousin from Kinnahaird Farm Contin.
OTM clean bullocks and heifers (5) averaged 130.3p and sold to 138.7p per kg and £985 gross for a 710kg Simmental cross heifer from Kinnahaird Farm.
OTM bulls (1) sold to 84.3p per kg and £835 gross for a 990kg Limousin from Corrimony, Glenurquhart.
