Housekeeping Room Operative

Reports to Hotel Manager, Duty Manager & Head Housekeeper

Job Objective
To ensure all areas of the hotel are cleaned and presented to the highest standard in order to further enhance the customer’s experience of their stay.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Maintain high level of cleanliness and presentation in back-of-house and public areas including toilets and corridors
  • Service all bedrooms in line with hotels policy and bedroom checklist
  • Check with daily diary for extra duties to be completed in rooms e.g. any periodical tasks such as turning mattresses
  • Ensure stock in cupboards is well maintained and replenished after shift
  • Report any maintenance issues promptly to Duty Manager/Handyman-note to be put up on Handyman’s clip for him to see
  • Follow Health and Safety guidelines when using cleaning equipment
  • To report and document any lost and found items
  • Perform any laundry duties for guests
