Techno-geeks and trend conscious phone users in the town of Wick and its surrounding areas will no longer have to rely on the internet or have to travel to Inverness to suss out which of the latest smartphones suits them best.

That's because following an extensive refresh the Tesco superstore in Wick has seen a Tesco Phone Shop added to the many services it offers.

The phone shop is the most Northerly phone shop in Scotland and the UK where customers can get face-to-face advice on mobile phones and sells everything from basic handsets to smartphones across a range of networks. Before this, customers would have had to make the long journey to Inverness for this shopping experience.

Phone Shop Manager, Paul Queen, who has over 10 years experience in the mobile and tech industry, brings a much needed wealth of experience and knowledge in this field to Wick. Tesco colleagues working in the phone shop are fully trained to set up a customers' handset and can help to walk new users through the various features of their new phones.

Paul added, "Not everyone feels comfortable making purchases over the internet or has the time or means to travel the 103 miles to Inverness. So it is great that our customers can rely on our phone shop colleagues to advise them and offer first rate face-to-face customer service. It's also great news that the addition of the Tesco Phone Shop to our store in Wick means that we've been able to take on more employees from the local area".

One of the products they offer is their very own award winning network. Tesco Mobile has been awarded the 2014 Best Customer Support trophy at November's uSwitch Mobile Awards. After coming second in 2013, the network came top, beating off competition from the biggest networks in the country. The uSwitch Mobile Awards, now in its fourth year, recognises the very best in the industry and Tesco Mobile's win comes at the end of a fantastic year. The network is also a Which? Recommended Provider of the year for 2014.

The Tesco Phone Shop in Tesco Wick is now open from Monday to Saturday 9am - 8pm and Sunday 10am - 6pm and can also be telephoned directly on (01955) 445533.
