STORNOWAY, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August, 26th) sold 3,938 store sheep of all classes.   Lambs (3675) averaged £51.98 (+ £3.89 on the year) sold to £91.50 per head for a pair of Texel crosses from 2A Back, Lewis.

PORTREE, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August, 23rd) sold 3,503 store lambs and ewes.   Lambs (3,105) averaged £59.66 (+£6.59 on the year) and sold to £94 gross for cross lambs from 1 Holoman Park, Isle Raasay.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August, 19th) sold 14,650 store lambs at their annual district sale to average £67.52 (+£7.47 on the year).   Cheviot wedder lambs (8,600) averaged £64.15 (+£5.11) and sold to £128 gross from 1 Dounie, Edderton.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August, 6th) sold 10,287 store lambs at an average of £74.47 (up £5.33 on the year).   Texel (2,922) averaged £74.36 (last year £69.65) and sold to £114 gross from Wester Craiglands, Fortrose.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (July, 27th) sold 21 prime cattle.   Prime bullocks (9) averaged 240.3p (+2.7p) and sold to 247.0p per kg and £1,654.10 gross.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (July, 21st) sold 1,322 store cattle at their 18th anniversary sale sponsored by Conanvet, Ardlair, Conon Bridge.   The Judge, Mr D Moir, Moir Livestock, Cairness chose his overall champion in the show sponsored by Conanvet, and 1st Prize Best Heifer a 435kg, 15 month old Limousin cross from Messrs J Munro & Son, Invercharron, Ardgay which realised £2,300 and sold to Moir Livestock, Cairness.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (June, 9th) sold 170 store cattle and 112 adult head of breeding cattle and 137 OTM cattle.   Bullocks (77) averaged 248.9p and sold to 300.0p per kg for a 215kg Simmental cross from Proncy Farm, Dornoch and £1,150 gross for a pair of 527kg Beef Shorthorn crosses from Todholes, Thurso.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (June, 8th) sold 471 sheep of all classes.   Hoggs (85) sold to £128 gross for a pair of Cheviots from Ose Farm, Struan.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 26th) sold 220 store cattle, 149 adult head of breeding cattle and 78 OTM cattle.   Bullocks (102) averaged 250.8p and sold to 323.1p per kg for a 195kg Limousin cross from 6 Bracara, Morar and £1,460 gross for a 660kg Limousin cross from Bog of Auchterflow, Munlochy.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 19th) sold 89 pedigree and commercial Luing cattle at their annual spring breeding sale.   Pedigree bulling heifers (74) averaged £1,587.34 and sold to 3,400gns (Lots 64 & 65) (£3,570.00) twice for 25-month-old heifers from Mr F Scott Renwick, Inverbroom and Mr Farquhar Renwick, Clachan Farm both to Messrs James McCaig Farms, Wester Jawcraig, Falkirk.
