Prime bullocks (9) averaged 240.3p (+2.7p) and sold to 247.0p per kg and £1,654.10 gross.
Prime heifers (12) averaged 242.3p (-1.6p) and sold to 251.0p per kg and £1,577.40 gross.

Prime bullocks (9) averaged 240.3p (+2.7p) and sold to 247.0p per kg for a 600kg Limousin cross from Raffin, Tore selling to Messrs Bews, Butchers, Thurso and £1,654.10 gross for a 695kg Limousin cross from Cullaird Farm, Scaniport.
Prime heifers (12) averaged 242.3p (-1.6p) and sold to 251.0p per kg for a 580kg Limousin cross from Cullaird Farm and £1,577.40 gross for a 660kg Limousin cross also from Cullaird Farm.

New season lambs (252) averaged 246.3p (+8.7p) and sold to 272.3p per kg and £128 gross for 47kg Texels from Milldam, Meikle Ussie selling to Messrs John M Munro Ltd, Dingwall.
Feeding sheep (55) sold to £115 gross for a Texel ewe from Glaich na Goire, Kiltarlity.
"Contrary to some reports from the end of last week, lambs today were dearer on the week by 8.7p per kilo. The dry spell of weather has had an effect on liveweights, however those producers with plenty flesh and weight on their lambs are obtaining a premium price in the live ring with many pens achieving 260.0p per kilo. Ewes were in very short supply, producers with cull feeding ewes are encouraged to market them any Tuesday for maximum returns.
