Wick Centre Main Streets - 3 Weeks of Road Resurfacing and Drainage works

4th July 2024

Highland council have announced resurfacing & drainage works being carried out on A99 Cliff Road, Bridge Street, High Street, George Street & North Road in Wick from Thursday 4 Jul 24 for approx 3 weeks.

Road closure will be in place from Wed 10Jul - Sat 14 Jul between 10am & 3pm daily for the corner of Bridge Street & High Street to enable works.

A99 Bridge Street & High Street, #Wick, will be closed continuously, from the junction with U3664 Whitechapel Road to the junction with U3657 Victoria Place, from 10:00 on 10 July 2024 to 15:00 on 14 July 2024. The closure is for roadworks. Traffic will be allowed past on an ad-hoc basis.

Timetable for Highland Council By-Elections Confirmed
The timetable for the election of one Councillor to represent Ward 6 Cromarty Firth and one Councillor for Ward 10 Eilean a' Cheò on The Highland Council has been confirmed.   The by-elections are being held following the resignations of former Councillors Maxine Smith from Ward 6 and Calum Munro from Ward 10.
