Young people across the Highlands are receiving their SQA exam results by text, e-mail or post today (7th August 2018).
Schools across The Highland Council area offered candidates the full range of national qualifications from National 2 right through to Advanced Higher.
In S4, the percentage of pupils who achieved 5 plus qualifications at National 5 grades A to D has increased by 1.5% from last year. The percentage of pupils who achieved 5 qualifications at National 4 has decreased by less than 1%.
In S5, 13% of pupils achieved 5 Highers in grades A to C, 29% of pupils achieved 3 Highers in grades A to C and 49% of pupils achieved 1 Higher in grades A to C.
In S6, 527 pupils achieved grades A to D in Advanced Higher qualification. This is an increase of 2% on last year.
Sixty six pupils achieved 5 Highers qualifications at grade A.

Help and advice is available for all students receiving their results from their own schools and also from Skills Development Scotland's dedicated Exam Results Helpline which is available for a week from today onwards to support young people.
