Robots To Work In Raigmore Pharmacy
Two robots will join the pharmacy team at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness in a state of the art transformation to create a more efficient, patient-focused service.   NHS Highland plans to implement the new automated system into its pharmacy department at the hospital early next year, having already completed the planning stages of the project.

The fishing boat Eder Sands UL 257 was been detained in Scrabster following allegations that included non-payment of wages.   The Eder Sands was held on 2 July by surveyors from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) after an investigation and inspection carried out in line with the Government Covid-19 guidance.

Theory tests and motorcycle training will restart in Scotland on Wednesday 22 July, and motorcycle tests and tractor tests will restart on Monday 3 August 2020.   The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and Scottish Government have announced that from Wednesday 22 July 2020 in Scotland: all types of theory tests can resume motorcycle training can resume tractor driving instruction can resume Theory tests will take place with social distancing measures in place to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

Science Minister Amanda Solloway has today (Friday 10 July) unveiled details of the three new projects that have been selected as part of a joint initiative between the UK Space Agency and the European Space Agency (ESA) to find and support space-enabled technologies and services that can support the NHS response to coronavirus.   Space company Skyports will be working with NHS Highland, which serves a group of islands off the west coast of Scotland, to use drones to deliver medical supplies and samples from a hospital on the Argyll and Bute mainland.

Highland Council Tenants - Are you missing out on money you are entitled to, or worried about paying your rent?
Many Highland Council tenants may be missing out on help towards their rent from Universal Credit because they have not notified the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) of their annual rent increase which came into effect on the 30th March 2020.   Those tenants who have not yet reported their rent increase could be facing a shortfall in the help they receive towards their rent, putting them at risk of rent arrears.

New Approach Agreed For Children's And Adult Services In Highland But Funding Problems Still Loom Large
Members of The Highland Council's Health, Social Care and Wellbeing Committee have approved a new approach that will aim to transform the existing integration partnership agreement and governance arrangements between The Highland Council and NHS Highland.   Of 32 councils in Scotland Highland was the only one to choose the Lead Agency model with NHS Highland.

Thousands of expert professional and business services advisers have signed up to offer free online advice to help small businesses bounce back from coronavirus (COVID-19).   The Recovery Advice for Business scheme, supported by the government and hosted on the Enterprise Nation website , will give small firms access to free, one-to-one advice with an expert adviser to help them through the coronavirus pandemic and to prepare for long-term recovery.
