More High Street Store Hit With Job Losses and Closures

Boots
Boots have announce that 48 instore opticians will be closed. There will be 4000 job losses. The parent company Walgreens Boots Alliance says it will cut around 7% of its UK workforce.
John Lewis
1300 jobs are to go at John Lewis. Department stores in Birmingham and Watford will not reopen as the coronavirus lockdown eases. It also plans to shut down its At Home stores in Croydon, Newbury, Swindon and Tamworth and travel sites at Heathrow airport and London St Pancras.
Burger King
Around 1.600 jobs could be at risk at the fast food chain which has only reopened 370 of its 530 UK stores.

Upper Crust - 5,000 jobs at risk
