Significant Milestone Reached With Concrete 'mega Pour'
Work on Dounreay's newest radioactive waste store went up a storey last week, with the completion of a ‘mega' concrete pour. The construction project was one of the first to re-start work on 22 June, following the easing of lock down restrictions.29/12/2020

Planning Consent For New Innovation Centre On Inverness Campus
Planning consent has been granted for a new life sciences innovation centre on Inverness Campus. The 2500m² facility is a joint project between Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and the University of the Highlands and Islands.20/11/2020

HIE welcomes £94m expansion plans for Fort William smelter
The plans were announced today (Tuesday 17 November) by ALVANCE Aluminium, operator of the Fort William plant. Contract For World's Deepest Nuclear Clean-up Awarded At Dounreay
Dounreay has awarded a major contract as the world's deepest nuclear clean-up job gets underway. Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd (DSRL), on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, awarded the £7.5 million contract for "advanced transition works" at the 65 metre deep shaft and silo to Nuvia and its partner Graham Construction, through the site's decommissioning framework following a competitive tendering process.16/9/2020

A project to create accommodation facilities at Kishorn dry dock in Wester Ross has secured investment of up to £94,675 from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).
