27th March 2020

Caithness General Hospital in Wick have made a number of changes within the hospital to prepare to receive Covid 19 patients.

The maternity unit (Henderson) has been moved to the ground floor with the unit being reserved now for the arrival of any patients with Covid 19.

Visiting to NHS Highland hospitals has been restricted since 14 March.

NHS Highland has implemented restricted visiting across Highland to reduce the risk of the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) to patients and staff.

This is a measure that will be reviewed weekly. If your visit is essential please contact the ward who will support you with arrangements. We are grateful to the public for your co-operation and understanding.

If you are visiting the hospital please ensure that you wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before you go onto the ward/department and as you leave the hospital.

Please do not enter the hospital if you are unwell.
