Council Reduces Speed at Sutherland School
21st March 2009
Motorists are being advised that a 20's Plenty Advisory speed limit has been introduced on the roads near Helmsdale Primary School for children's' safety.
Roundels depicting the 20 advisory speed limits are also soon to be painted on the carriageway by The Highland Council.
This brings 59 of the 64 schools in Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross now with 20mph speed limits in place. The new speed limits are being introduced at schools throughout the Highlands in order to save lives and reduce accidents.
