1,636 new cases of COVID-19 reported.
27,873 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results - 7.0% of these were positive
89 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.
161 people are in intensive care with recently confirmed COVID-19.
2,004 people are in hospital with recently confirmed COVID-19.
334,871 people have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination and 4,466 have received their second dose.
Since the start of the outbreak:
5,557 people have died who have tested positive as at 21 January.
7,448 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 17 January.
38% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 55% were in hospitals and 6% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 17 January).
Vaccinations
334,871 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 4,466 have received the second dose in the period from 8 December up to 8:30 am on Thursday 21 January - this is based on management information and is subject to change on any given day.
