803 new cases of COVID-19 reported.

19,882 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results - 4.6% of these were positive.

29 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive

102 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

1,154 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

Vaccinations

As at 8:30am on Saturday 20 February:

1,412,643 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 33,473 have received their second dose

Latest progress on first doses for the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) priority groups as at 8:30am on Saturday 20 February:

30,826 care home residents (exceeding the initial target for residents in older adult care homes and 96% of residents in all care homes)

42,120 care home staff (94% of staff in older adult care homes and 81% of staff in all care homes)

289,059 frontline health and social care workers exceeding the initial target provided by Health Boards.

153,636 people who are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (86% of those on the shielding list).

Latest progress for each age group on first doses shows we have vaccinated:

273,668 people aged 80 or over (exceeding estimated population based on the latest mid-2019 population estimates)

207,506 people aged 75-79 (exceeding estimated population)

265,912 people aged 70-74 (95%)

232,549 people aged 65-69 (78%)

in the week ending 14 February, 323 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

6,945 people have died who have tested positive as at 20 February.

9,053 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 14 February.

35% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 58% were in hospitals and 6% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 14 February).
