827 new cases of COVID-19 reported.

17,955 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results - 5.5% of these were positive.

5 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends).



99 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

1,132 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

1,431,942 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 35,479 have received their second dose.

on 21 February, 5 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends).

in the week ending 14 February, 323 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

6,950 people have died who have tested positive as at 21 February.

9,053 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 14 February.

35% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 58% were in hospitals and 6% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 14 February).

30,861 care home residents (exceeding the initial target for residents in older adult care homes and 96% of residents in all care homes)

42,329 care home staff (94% of staff in older adult care homes and 81% of staff in all care homes)

289,670 frontline health and social care workers exceeding the initial target provided by Health Boards

154,399 people who are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (86% of those on the shielding list)

Latest progress for each age group on first doses shows we have vaccinated:

273,935 people aged 80 or over (exceeding estimated population based on the latest mid-2019 population estimates)

208,641 people aged 75-79 (exceeding estimated population)

267,914 people aged 70-74 (96%)

238,951 people aged 65-69 (80%)
