23,519 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results - 3.9% of these were positive.

47 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive



93 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

1,018 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

1,488,077 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 50,121 have received their second dose.

in the week ending 21 February, 290 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

7,053 people have died who have tested positive as at 24 February

9,347 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19

was mentioned on the death certificate up to 21 February.

34% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 59% were in hospitals and 6% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 21 February)

43,002 care home staff (96% of staff in older adult care homes and 83% of staff in all care homes)

292,690 frontline health and social care workers exceeding the initial target provided by Health Boards

157,094 people who are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (88% of those on the shielding list)

274,861 people aged 80 or over (exceeding estimated population based on the latest mid-2019 population estimates)

210,689 people aged 75-79 (exceeding estimated population)

272,301 people aged 70-74 (98%)

250,585 people aged 65-69 (84%)
