572 new cases of COVID-19 reported.

17,663 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results - 3.8% of these were positive.

2 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive. Registration offices are closed at weekends so the numbers may not reflect the rue picture.

78 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

837 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

1,593,695 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 76,512 have received their second dose.

on 28 February, 2 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 21 February, 290 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

7,131 people have died who have tested positive as at 26 February.

9,347 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 21 February.

34% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 59% were in hospitals and 6% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 21 February)
