3,261 new cases of COVID-19 reported.

40,397 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
8.8% of these were positive.

18 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

79 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

1,005 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,172,573 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 3,824,074 have received their second dose.

on 24 September, 50 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive

in the week ending 19 September, 135 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

8,514 people have died who have tested positive as at 24 September 2021.

10,826 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 19 September.

31% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 62% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 19 September).
