23,553 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
9.5% of these were positive.

1 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends).

76 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19

1,023 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,181,617 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination and 3,829,881 have received their second dose.

on 27 September, 1 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends).

in the week ending 19 September, 135 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

8,535 people have died who have tested positive as at 27 September.

10,826 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 19 September.

31% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 62% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 19 September).

1,023 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 76 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 9 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 21 September, 863 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 26 September, 60 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

21,057 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 22 September, 1,561 people were delayed in hospital.
