Government Schemes Ending On 30 September or shortly after

27th September 2021

The Furlough scheme ends on 30 September 2021 despite many requests for extensions. Claims for September must be submitted by 14 October 2021 and any amendments must be made by 28 October 2021.

The Reduced 5% VAT rate on tourism ends o 30 September but another educed rate of 12% applies from 1st October to 31 March 2022.

The full stamp duty holiday has come to an end and is now being phased out. Stamp duty will return to the original rates on 1 October 2021. The dash to buy properties and save thousands of pounds may now slow down.

Universal Credit - The extra £20 a week payments will cease on on 6 October 2021.

Self-Employment Income Support Scheme in Scotland ends 30 September.

Scotland Love Local Fund - Applications for funding open on 9 August and will close at 5pm on Friday 1 October.
