19,394 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
10.5% of these were positive.

27 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

51 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

935 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,265,755 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination and 3,866,372 have received their second dose.

on 12 October, 27 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 3 October, 141 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

8,819 people have died who have tested positive as at 12 October.

11,134 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 3 October.

31% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 62% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 3 October).

935 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 51 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 11 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 8 October, 628 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 11 October, 40 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

22,092 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 6 October, 1,505 people were delayed in hospital.
