28,984 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
9.5% of these were positive.

21 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

47 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

841 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,282,132 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 3,875,966 have received their second dose.

on 15 October, 32 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 10 October, 126 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

8,907 people have died who have tested positive as at 15 October.

11,262 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 10 October.

31% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 62% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 10 October)

851 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 45 were in intensive care

in addition, yesterday 13 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 11 October, 588 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 14 October, 42 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

22,322 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 13 October, 1,551 people were delayed in hospital.
