21,032 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
12.4% of these were positive.

24 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

46 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

869 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,291,650 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination and 3,881,744 have received their second dose.

on 19 October, 24 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive

in the week ending 10 October, 126 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate

Since the start of the outbreak:

8,954 people have died who have tested positive as at 19 October.

11,262 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 10 October.

31% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 62% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 10 October).

869 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 46 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 17 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 15 October, 570 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 18 October, 30 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

22,556 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 13 October, 1,551 people were delayed in hospital.
