57 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

925 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,311,339 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination and 3,899,153 have received their second dose.

* Public Health Scotland identified an issue with test results reaching them from NHS Scotland labs since 6pm on 26 October. Any NHS tests received after this time will be included in data reported tomorrow (28 October).

Since the start of the outbreak:

9,099 people have died who have tested positive as at 27 October
11,538 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 24 October.

30% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 63% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 24 October).

925 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 57 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 23 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 23 October, 637 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 26 October, 50 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

23,074 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 20 October, 1,569 people were delayed in hospital.
