20,414 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
10.8% of these were positive.

0 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are generally closed at the weekend).

68 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

931 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,318,783 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination and 3,908,244 have received their second dose.

on 1 November, 0 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are generally closed at the weekend).

in the week ending 24 October, 130 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

9,163 people have died who have tested positive as at 1 November.

11,538 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 24 October.

30% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 63% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 24 October).

931 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 68 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 16 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 26 October, 650 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 31 October, 63 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

23,404 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 27 October, 1,539 people were delayed in hospital
