2,908 new cases of COVID-19 reported.

27,540 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
11.1% of these were positive.

2 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends).

57 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

793 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,321,382 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 3,914,425 have received their second dose.

on 5 November, 25 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 31 October, 133 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

9,267 people have died who have tested positive as at 5 November.

11,672 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 31 October.

30% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 63% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 31 October).

841 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 59 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 15 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 1 November, 648 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 4 November, 45 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

23,725 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 3 November, 1,520 people were delayed in hospital.
