19,459 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
12.0% of these were positive.

20 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

57 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

753 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,324,440 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination and 3,918,528 have received their second dose.

on 9 November, 20 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 31 October, 133 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

9,313 people have died who have tested positive as at 9 November.

11,672 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 31 October.

30% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 63% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 31 October)

753 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 57 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 16 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 5 November, 585 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 8 November, 42 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

23,958 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 3 November, 1,520 people were delayed in hospital.
