3,002 new cases of COVID-19 reported.

42,819 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
7.4% of these were positive.

27 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.

48 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

680 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,349,058 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, 3,953,170 have received their second dose, and 1,755,694 have received a third dose or booster.

on 2 December, 27 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 28 November, 97 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

9,618 ​​​​​​people have died who have tested positive as at 2 December.

12,127 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 28 November.

29% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 63% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 28 November).

680 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 48 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 15 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 28 November, 427 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital

in the week ending 1 December, 39 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

25,394 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020

as at 1 December, 1,452 people were delayed in hospital.
