29,017* new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
9.6%* of these were positive.

1* new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (Noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at the weekend).

45 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

586 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,352,104 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, 3,958,162 have received their second dose, and 1,859,735 have received a third dose or booster.

on 3 December, 16 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 28 November, 97 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

9,634 ​​​​​​people have died who have tested positive as at 3 December.

12,127 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 28 November.

29% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 63% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 28 November).

652 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 46 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 14 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 29 November, 423 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 2 December, 40 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

25,465 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 1 December, 1,452 people were delayed in hospital.
