32,166* new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
12.8%* of these were positive.

no new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (Noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at the weekend).

43 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

591 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,354,064 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, 3,960,681 have received their second dose, and 1,889,285 have received a third dose or booster.

*Reporting issues experienced over the weekend for the UK Government pillar 2 tests have now been resolved. Today's figures are higher than expected due to the backlog of tests now being processed.

in the week ending 28 November, 97 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate
Since the start of the outbreak:

9,649 ​​​​​​people have died who have tested positive as at 6 December
12,127 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 28 November.

29% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 63% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 28 November).

591 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 43 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 15 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 30 November, 425 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 5 December, 33 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

25,581 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 1 December, 1,452 people were delayed in hospital.
