3,117 new cases of COVID-19 reported.

29,558 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
11.3% of these were positive.

6 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

38 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

541 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,363,074* people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, 3,978,208 have received their second dose, and 2,200,172 have received a third dose or booster.

*Due to a refresh of data yesterday, Public Health Scotland have now been able to identify a number of duplicates in the data which were previously reported as separate vaccination events. This has resulted in a drop in reported Dose 1 vaccinations.

on 14 December, 6 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 5 December, 88 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

9,725 people have died who have tested positive as at 14 December.

12,216 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 5 December.

29% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 64% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 5 December)

541 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 38 were in intensive care.#

in addition, yesterday 15 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 10 December, 427 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 13 December, 25 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

25,996 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 8 December, 1,453 people were delayed in hospital.
