11,957 new cases of COVID-19 reported.

18 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.

19 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

1,509 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,439,150 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, 4,164,671 have received their second dose, and 3,456,977 have received a third dose or booster.

on 9 March, 18 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 6 March, 110 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

10,906 people have died who have tested positive as at 9 March.

13,429 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 6 March.

29% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 64% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 6 March).

1,509 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19*; of these, 19 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 10 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 5 March, 852 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital

in the week ending 8 March, 16 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

34,366 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 2 March, 1,587 people were delayed in hospital.

*NHS Boards started to include patients with possible reinfections from 7 March 2022.
