Significant Rail Disruption Between 17 - 21 August

15th August 2022

Due to further strike action across Great Britain planned by RMT members of Network Rail, ScotRail services will be disrupted between Wednesday 17, and Sunday, 21 August.

When are the strikes happening?

The strikes will take place on Thursday, 18 and Saturday, 20 August. There will also be some disruption the evening before (Wednesday, 17 August), the day in between (Friday, 19 August) and the morning after (Sunday, 21 August), caused by the closing and re-opening of signal boxes.

What does this mean for ScotRail services?

Edinburgh - Glasgow via Falkirk High: two trains per hour
Edinburgh – Helensburgh: two trains per hour
Glasgow – Hamilton/Larkhall: two trains per hour
Glasgow – Lanark: two trains per hour
