80 percent increase in the price cap to £3549 for energy

Ofgem has announced the new much higher price cap for gas and electricity. New charges will begin on 1 October 2022.

Of course it all depends on how much energy you use. Some people use more and some less. Nevertheless this is a drastic increase for many people.

The help already announced will not cover the increases charges.

We now wait for the new Prime Minister to be appointed to hear about any other help.
