Check Your E-bike Charger

E-bikes and e-scooters are an increasingly popular way to travel.
But if you have one, you may not be aware of the risks that some e-bike chargers pose.

A recent report from consumer safety charity Electrical Safety First has identified some e-bike chargers potentially causing fire or electric shock.

What should I do?
If you have an e-bike or e-scooter charger, check that the plug meets UK standards, such as being the right size and that it has a fuse.

Better still, ask the company you bought the charger from to confirm that it meets those UK standards and is safe to use.
