Keith Brown MSP, Minister for Skills and Lifelong Learning, visited Inverness College UHI this week for a guided tour around its facilities and an update on the college's innovative practices in Further Education.

John Spencer, Principal of Inverness College UHI, not only updated the Minister on the progress of the college's new campus, but also led him around some of the college's state-of-the-art facilities such as the college's Centre for Renewables. The Minister also had time to meet with the chair of Inverness College UHI, Mo Shepherd, and other members of the senior management team.

Keith Brown, Minister for Skills and Lifelong Learning, commented: "I was immensely impressed by my visit to Inverness College, which continues to offer superb learning opportunities to the people of the Highlands. Staff at all levels have an obvious commitment to delivering high quality learning to people of all backgrounds. The College does a great job in delivering the skills which the successful businesses of the future will need."

John Spencer commented: "It was a pleasure to welcome the Minister to our college and update him on everything that we do here. Inverness College UHI offers a range of learning opportunities at all levels, meaning students can join us as a school leaver and progress onto degree level study, all under one roof. We are looking forward to another busy academic year and will surely have much more to update him with during his next visit."
