Short-term Lets Now Require To Show License Number In All Adverts And Listings

The new short term letting regulations have some into force.

Highland council have a list of what is required.

Licensing scheme applies to many types of accommodation. This includes holiday cottages, B&Bs, guest houses, rooms within a home and unconventional accommodation such as pods and yurts.

To make sure your entry on this web site is legal please send in your license number to be added to your listing. Send it to bill@caithness.org

The holder of the licence must ensure that any listing or advert (whether electronic or otherwise) for the short-term let of the property includes:

the licence number, and
a valid Energy Performance Certificate rating if an Energy Performance Certificate is required for the property, in accordance with the Energy Performance of Buildings (Scotland) Regulations 2008
14a. The holder of the licence must ensure that any listing or advert (whether electronic or otherwise) for the short-term let of the property is consistent with the terms of the short-term let licence
