CMA Response To Funeral Director Licensing Scheme For Scotland Consultation

The CMA has published its response to the Scottish Government's consultation on funeral director licensing scheme.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has responded to the funeral director licensing scheme for Scotland consultation, led by the Scottish Government.

The CMA's response highlights the importance of putting the licensing regime on a statutory footing. The response also notes the proposed code of practice aligns with the findings and remedies set out in the CMA's funerals market investigation final report and Funerals Market Investigation Order 2021.
