Very windy gusting up to 65 miles an hour on Wednesday 31 January 2024 with heavy rain pushing southeastwards through the morning and early part of the afternoon. Scattered showers and sunny spells for the rest of the day. Maximum temperature 9 °C

The high winds expected to hit around 5:00am.

Possibility of higher gusts to 75 or 85 miles and hour in one or two places.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Scattered showers and sunny spells at first Thursday, increasingly cloudy later with more persistent rain. Cloudy with outbreaks of rain through Friday, clearer by evening. Showers on Saturday. Windy throughout.
