Atholl House - Kaye Adams Well Known Radio/tv Presenter Wins 9-year IR35 Case Against HMRC

Many of you will know Kaye Adams from her radio and tv broadcasting. What you may not know is that she has been fighting HMRC for nearly 10 years and finally won her case recently.

The case and it ramifications are about IR35 about whether a person is an employee or self-employed. Despite losing the arguments in a court case and appeals HMRC kept coming back to it for almost 10 years. Every decision from judges ruled in favour of Kaye Adams. Even though she won time after time it cost her a huge amount of money to fight the case and she only recovered a small part of her costs.
