Last Day To Have Your Say On Council Services Before Budget Cuts Hit

Several council services that have been suggested for cuts or reduction are the subject of the Highland council survey.

The budget for highland will be decided later in February and many difficult decisions will be taken.

What services would you like to keep or cease.

A range things have been suggested by the public for stopping -

Grass and verge cutting (unless health and safety requirement)

Providing countryside ranger service (HLH)

Paying for discretionary staff training (unless health and safety or legal requirement)

Providing public toilets

Providing community transport schemes

Subsidising public transport routes

Providing mobile libraries

Providing service points (statutory registration function would be retained)
