Scottish Minister Michael Mathieson Who Blamed £11k Ipad Bill On His Sons Quits

Michael Mathison health minister in the Scottish Government has resigned in advance of a report about the use of his ipad while on holiday with his family.
This is the second ministerial resignation in a week. On 6 February Drugs and Alcohol Policy Minister Elena Whitham tendered her resignation to the First Minister and stepped down from her ministerial post for health reasons.
It is less than year since Nicola Sturgeon resigned as First Minister.
On 2 March 2024 deputy First minister John Swiney notified he would stand down as soon as someone else was appointed.
