Here at the web site we received a suspicious call saying they were from Tesco about sim card problems.
This is yet another scam so hang up.
Scammers may call you pretending to be from Tesco Mobile and ask for your security information or one-time code. They may use this information to change your account password or swap your SIM card. This is known as phishing.
What to do if you receive a suspicious call
Hang up: Don't engage with the caller.
Check your account: You can check your account online or call Tesco directly from a number you know is correct.
Don't share personal information: Don't give out any personal or financial details.
Don't follow links: Don't click on any links in emails or texts from the caller.
Report the call: You can report the call to Tesco Mobile or Action Fraud.
How to protect yourself
Make your phone number ex-directory.
Block unwanted numbers.
Be careful when you receive a device you didn't order.
Don't post a device directly to an address given to you by the caller.
