Overall retail footfall decreased by 2% when compared with the previous week and decreased by 4% when compared with the equivalent week of 2024; both high street and retail park footfall decreased by 2% when compared with the previous week and shopping centre footfall decreased by 1% (MRI OnLocation).

Total Revolut debit card spending increased by 4% when compared with the equivalent week of 2024; the 18 to 34 years age group saw the largest average spend increase over this period of 6% (Revolut).

The System Average Price (SAP) of gas increased by 3% when compared with the previous week, rising from 4.173 pence per kilowatt hour (p/kWh) to 4.308p/kWh, and increased by 82% when compared with the equivalent week of 2024 (National Gas Transmission).

The System Price of electricity increased by 1% when compared with the previous week, rising from 10.665p/kWh to 10.786p/kWh, and increased by 87% when compared with the equivalent week of 2024 (Elexon).

The total number of Energy Building Performance Certificates (EPCs) for new dwellings across England and Wales decreased by 7% when compared with the equivalent week of 2024; it decreased by 3% for existing dwellings (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government).

The number of ship visits to major UK ports decreased by 6% when compared with the previous week and decreased by 9% when compared with the equivalent week of 2024, potentially because of Storm Éoywn; the number of UK flights decreased by 1% when compared with the previous week and were broadly unchanged when compared with the equivalent week of 2024 (exactEarth, EUROCONTROL).
