Social security payment rates increased for 2024-25

14 Scottish Government benefits including Carer Support Payment, disability benefits and Best Start Grants will increase by 6.7% in April.

The increases are in line with inflation as measured by the Consumers Price Index. This will help to support households that need it most, including disabled people, unpaid carers and people on low incomes. Scottish Child Payment is now £26.70 per child per week, and the highest rate for Adult Disability Payment is now £184.30 per week.
