The new tariffs imposed by the U.S. on coffee imports are expected to significantly increase coffee prices for consumers.
Major coffee-producing countries like Brazil, Colombia, and Vietnam are facing tariffs ranging from 10% to 46%, which will raise the cost of green coffee beans for U.S. roasters.
Since the U.S. relies heavily on imported coffee, these additional costs will likely be passed on to consumers, leading to higher prices in shops and cafes.
This comes at a time when coffee prices were already rising due to supply shortages and unfavourable weather conditions in key growing regions.
If you're a coffee enthusiast, this might be a good time to stock up before prices climb further - only if you are an American.
