Enlighten Conference Starts 27 October - on the future of the nation's healthcare

The current system of delivering health care and social care in Scotland is unsustainable, often stretched beyond capacity, overly complex, and does not always meet people's needs. At the same time, data shows our health is deteriorating, inequalities are widening, and that we have an ageing population with growing demand for NHS and social care services. The status quo is not an option.

Enlighten believes that Scotland urgently needs to have a mature, constructive debate to identify and build consensus around reform that will improve our health and care services in both the short and long term. This conference will build on our NHS2048 forum and explore how we can, through cross-party and cross-sectoral working, come together to deliver reform and improve the future health of Scotland.
