I am Robert Coghill, aged 62. I was educated at Wick High School & since leaving school
have worked on the family farm at Stemster.

It has been a privilege to represent the people of Landward Caithness over the last 5
years. It has been necessary to take difficult decisions, especially in the light of economic
restraints placed upon us all. I acknowledge that the next 5 years will be equally
challenging.

The key issues are:
retaining jobs in Caithness
creating new jobs in Caithness
retaining front line services in Highland Council
retaining rural schools
having zero tolerance to litter
addressing the ongoing problem with the state of the roads.

With regards to the debate surrounding onshore wind farms, I believe that Caithness must
now take a stance & say NO to any new major wind farm developments. We have to
protect our beautiful landscape for future generations.

Unlike the Party candidates, I will not make promises which are unachievable. I pledge to
continue to be a strong voice for Landward Caithness.

My plea is that you will all vote. If I am not your first choice, then I hope you would consider
me to be your second.

Robert
